Senator Muhammed Adamu Aleiro, who represents Kebbi Central Senatorial Zone in the Senate, has distributed empowerment items to the people of his constituency so that they can become self-employed.
The items include: 150 Keke-Napep, 114 motorcycles, 302 deep freezers, 750 grinding machines, 500 cartons of water pumps, 800 sewing machines and 3,400 bags of fertiliser.
At the flag-off of the distribution ceremony held at Aleiro Farm in Aleiro, under the Aleiro local government area of Kebbi State, Governor Nasir Idris commended Aleiro for the gesture, which, according to him, will empower many people in Kebbi Central Senatorial Zone.
He noted that since he came into office, his administration has never denied any House of Representatives or Senate member the opportunity to present or bring his/her constituency projects/items.
Idris warned beneficiaries against disposing of the items, advising that the items they received are meant for economic empowerment and not for sale.
In his speech, Senator Muhammed Adamu Aleiro said the items were to empower the destitute, less privileged people, farmers and the needy in his constituency.
