Ansaru – ud- Deen Society of Nigeria has called on Nigerian leaders to prioritise justice, good governance and equitable policies that alleviate poverty, create employment opportunities and promote lasting peace.
It also enjoined Nigerians to rise with faith, courage and unity to surmount the problem of insecurity and economic challenges confronting the country.
The national president of the society, Prince Mosediq Kazeem (SAN) made the call in a message to commemorate the 1447 Hijrah.
Hijrah marks the commencement of Islamic new calendar year and is celebrated all over the Muslim world.
The society hailed the federal government’s initiative to transform federal science colleges to vocational technical institutions with free tuition, describing the initiative as a meaningful step towards empowering the youths and addressing unemployment problem.
“Today, as we ponder and reflect on the significance of Hijrah, we cannot ignore the numerous trials facing our nation and our world – rising insecurity, economic hardship, unemployment, hunger, and the pervasive sense of uncertainty, particularly among our youth.
“Yet, just as the early Muslims placed their trust in Allah, persevered and triumphed through unwavering faith and unity, we too must rise with faith, courage, and unity. Allah (SWT) says: “So verily, with hardship comes ease. Verily, with hardship comes ease.”(Qur’an 94:5-6), “ Kazeem stated .
