Kwara Polytechnic Secures Full NBTE Accreditation For All Programmes

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has granted full accreditation for all the programmes presented by the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin during the just concluded accreditation and resource inspection visit of the Board to the institution.

The Board has also given the green light for the commencement of some new National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes by the institution in 2025/2026 academic session.

The NBTE in its letter of approval signed by the director of Polytechnic and Allied Programmes, Dr Fatima Umar, detailed the approval of a diverse range of new programmes, including the pioneering ND in Medical Imaging, ND Health Information Management, ND Industrial and Labour Relations, ND Law, and ND Chemical Engineering Technology, amongst others.

The Board also grant approval for the commencement of HND programmes in Agribusiness Technology, Crop Production Technology, Journalism and Media Studies, Tourism Management Technology, Mechatronics Engineering and Urban and Regional Planning amongst, others.

In his reaction, the rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Abdul Jimoh Mohammed acknowledged the thoroughness of the NBTE accreditation team and expressed gratitude for their constructive feedback.
He assured that the management of the institution is committed to maintaining the highest educational standards.
