Demehin, who made her move to the Istanbul giants on a free transfer in September 2024, initially signed a one-year deal. However, following a commendable first season with the club, the management has recognised her contributions and opted to extend her contract for an additional season, keeping her at Galatasaray until at least 2025.

The 23-year-old centre-back has made a remarkable impact during her inaugural season, featuring prominently in 26 matches across all competitions. Her defensive prowess and skill were complemented by her offensive contributions, as she netted one goal during the season. Her ability to seamlessly integrate into the team and her strong work ethic have not gone unnoticed, and she has quickly become a fan favourite.

Notably, Demehin was also an integral member of Nigeria’s national team squad that clinched victory at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July. This prestigious win further solidified her reputation within the realm of women’s football, showcasing her talent on an international stage and inspiring young athletes back home in Nigeria and beyond.
