Exciting Draws, Solid Wins Mark NPFL’s Matchday3

The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) continued to deliver thrilling action as Matchday 3 unfolded yesterday across the country. Fans were treated to a series of tightly contested matches, with notable results shaping the early standings of the season.

In a closely fought encounter, Barau FC of Kano and Bendel Insurance of Benin settled for a 1-1 draw. Both sides displayed resilience, but neither could find the decisive goal to claim victory. Similarly, the clash between Shooting Stars and Ikorodu City ended in a stalemate, with both teams also scoring once.

El-Kanemi Warriors faced off against Rivers United in a match that saw strong defensive displays, resulting in a goalless draw that left both sides with a point.

Meanwhile, Kwara United showcased their attacking prowess, securing a comfortable 2-0 victory over Kun Khalifat. The win highlighted Kwara’s ambitions for the season as they continue to build momentum.

Enyimba International battled hard against Nasarawa United, but the match ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw, reflecting the intensity of the competition. However, Katsina United earned crucial points with a narrow 1-0 win against Kano Pillars in a Northwest derby, while Wikki Tourist triumphed over Abia Warriors, clinching their match 1-0.

Niger Tornadoes also celebrated victory, managing to secure a 1-0 win over Bayelsa United. Rangers International delivered a commanding performance in their match, defeating Plateau United 2-0 and establishing themselves as early title contenders.

Finally, Remo Stars continued their positive start to the season with a 1-0 win against Warri Wolves, adding to their growing tally of points.
