Lamine Yamal has reclaimed the men’s Kopa Trophy for best young player at the 2025 Ballon d’Or awards.

The prize was announced at a ceremony in the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris on Monday night as the top players for club and country in 2024/25 were recognised.

Also, Vicky Lopez won the inaugural women’s Kopa Trophy.

The Kopa Trophy is an annual prize given to the best football player in the world under the age of 21, as determined by the Ballon d’Or jury voting system.

It recognises the best young male and female players in world football.
