The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged motorists to be cautious of Gwagwalada Road as the ongoing dismantling of the temporary steel fortification on the Gwagwalada Bridge had led to traffic congestion around the area.
The FRSC also urged motorists to be calm and follow road safety officers’ instructions as they embark on the route during this Sallah travelling period.
According to the FRSC advisory, “Motorists and travellers along the Gwagwalada corridor are advised that the ongoing dismantling of the temporary steel fortification on the Gwagwalada Bridge has led to traffic congestion around the area. Road users are urged to exercise patience, remain calm, and cooperate with FRSC personnel and other security agencies deployed to manage traffic. Compliance with directives from officers on duty will help ease congestion and prevent avoidable crashes.
“As Sallah period approaches with expected increase in vehicular movement, motorists are advised to maintain lane discipline, avoid dangerous overtaking, and approach the construction zone with caution. Travelers should plan their movement accordingly and drive responsibly to ensure safety for all road users.”
