The senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Sharafadeen Alli, has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, urging them to sustain the virtues of sacrifice, discipline and compassion imbibed during the holy month.

In a statement, Alli described Eid-el Fitri as a significant spiritual milestone that symbolises renewal, gratitude and unwavering faith in Allah.

The lawmaker said that the period offered opportunity for deep reflection and commitment to righteous living.

He called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations, to embrace peaceful coexistence, stressing that unity remained the bedrock for national development and progress.

Alli said that the lessons of Ramadan should translate into acts of kindness, tolerance and mutual respect in everyday life.

The lawmaker urged Muslim faithful to continue to support the less privileged, noting that charity and generosity should not end with Ramadan.

According to him, extending a helping hand to those in need would help bridge societal gaps and foster harmony.

He used the occasion to call for sustained prayers for peace, stability and prosperity of Nigeria, emphasising the need for collective efforts in addressing the nation’s challenges.

He urged citizens to remain hopeful and resilient, reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality representation to the people of Oyo South Senatorial District.
