FIFA has announced that the official draws for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026™ and the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ will take place at its headquarters in Zurich on 21 May 2026.
This announcement follows the successful inaugural annual editions of both tournaments last year. The FIFA U-17 World Cup, hosted in Qatar, saw Portugal crowned champions in a 48-team event, while the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, featuring 24 teams, concluded with Korea DPR lifting the trophy. These tournaments are credited with significantly boosting global youth development in football.
The draws, set to be attended by football legends and representatives from the host nations, will be broadcast live worldwide, according to FIFA’s statement.
The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026™ is scheduled from 19 November to 13 December, with 48 teams competing. The FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2026™ will run from 17 October to 7 November, featuring 24 teams.
