Arsenal F.C. are actively pursuing highly-rated 18-year-old defender Emmanuel Mbemba, who is expected to depart Paris Saint-Germain F.C. this summer despite being offered a professional contract.

The Gunners have reportedly presented their long-term project to the French talent, having scouted him extensively throughout the current season and identifying him as a player with significant potential.

However, a major obstacle stands in the way of an immediate move to North London: Mbemba currently does not meet the criteria for a UK work permit. Should Arsenal successfully secure a deal for the young defender, he would likely be loaned out to another European league.

This strategic move would allow him to gain valuable experience and accumulate the necessary points to qualify for a work permit in the future.

This approach aligns with Arsenal’s established recruitment strategy of investing in elite young talent with an eye towards future development. While not an immediate first-team prospect, Mbemba is seen as a potentially shrewd long-term investment for the club.
