Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly drawn up a shortlist of attacking reinforcements as they look to strengthen their forward line ahead of the new season, with Jhon Duran and Randal Kolo Muani emerging as their primary targets.
The development was revealed by respected Galatasaray correspondent Burhan Can Terzi, who provided insight into the club’s transfer plans as preparations intensify for the 2026–27 campaign.
According to Terzi, Galatasaray’s hierarchy are keen to add another high-quality striker capable of complementing Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen and providing greater attacking depth as the club prepares for domestic and European challenges.
“The two names Galatasaray are most seriously considering as strikers to partner and support Osimhen are Jhon Duran and Randal Kolo Muani,” Terzi was quoted as saying by Turkish outlet Habersarikirmizi.
He added that the club’s management appears particularly interested in Colombian striker Jhon Duran because of the financial feasibility of a potential deal.
“Galatasaray’s management is favourably inclined towards Jhon Duran due to his relatively affordable cost,” Terzi explained.
Duran has continued to attract interest from several European clubs following a series of impressive performances, while French international Randal Kolo Muani remains one of the most sought-after attackers on the continent despite facing uncertainty over his long-term future.
Galatasaray’s plans to bolster their attack underline the club’s ambition to retain their domestic dominance and make a stronger impact in European competitions next season.
The Istanbul giants have also been linked with several other high-profile players as they seek to build a squad capable of competing on multiple fronts.
Meanwhile, speculation surrounding Osimhen’s future has continued to dominate headlines throughout the summer transfer window. The Nigerian striker has been linked with a number of Europe’s elite clubs following another outstanding campaign.
Despite the persistent rumours, reports in Turkey suggest the Super Eagles star is not currently considering an exit from Galatasaray and remains committed to the club’s project.
Osimhen’s goals played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s title-winning season, and the club’s desire to recruit another proven goalscorer is viewed as an effort to maximise his effectiveness and ease the scoring burden on the Nigerian international.
