3 Passengers Die In Another Niger Auto Crash

Three passengers have died in another road accident at Kudu in Mokwa local government area of Niger State.

An eyewitness said the accident occurred at a bend between Labozhi and Kudu on Bida-Mokwa-Jebba federal highway.

It was learnt that the accident involved a Toyota Hiace bus from Ilorin to Abuja.

The account revealed that the vehicle plunged into the water and people were involved, three died and five others were seriously wounded.

Haruna Saidu Kinbokun an aide to the chairman of Mokwa local government Hon Jibrin Abdullahi Muregi said “The executive chairman Mokwa local government on his way to the office this morning ran into an accident scene between labozhi and kudu federal highway”.

He said the chairman ordered the immediate evacuation of injured victims to the Federal Medical Centre Bida by Federal Road Safety.

Confirming this to LEADERSHIP, the Niger state Police command Tsukar, Tsukwam said  “five victims have been rescued and taken to FMC Bida  while three other people have been confirmed dead in the accident.”
