American R&B star Brandy will lead Flytime’s December concert lineup in Lagos, headlining the House of R&B show on December 20 at the Eko Convention Centre.
The performance will open a series of six nights of entertainment planned for Nigeria’s Detty December season, with organisers promising distinct experiences across the programme.
Flytime founder and chief executive Cecil Hammond said Brandy’s influence on R&B made her a fitting choice to launch the festivities. He also pointed to Lagos’s growth as an international music and entertainment destination, noting the company’s role in the city’s live entertainment scene over the past two decades.
Flytime chief operating officer Keke Hammond said the organisers aimed to raise the standard of live performances and hospitality with this year’s programme.
Following House of R&B, Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged is scheduled for December 21, while Flytime Fest Powered by Coca-Cola will run from December 22 to 24. Flytime Circle will round off the programme on December 25.
Brandy, known for hits including The Boy Is Mine and Have You Ever?, has built a career spanning music and acting. Her appearance adds an international R&B headliner to Lagos’s busy end-of-year entertainment calendar.
