The group managing director (GMD) of ipNX, Ejovi Aror, has predicted that Abia State would soon be at the forefront of digital transformation in the country.
Ejovi Aror spoke at the kick-off of the state’s Internet, Wide Area Network & Managed Network Services project being handled by the firm in Umuahia, the state capital.
His words: “This partnership signals the beginning of a new chapter in the journey towards building a digitally connected, technologically advanced, and economically empowered state.”
Commending the state governor, Alex Otti for his confidence in the firm to deliver, he further said “Today is a significant day not just for ipNX but for the state and indeed the country.
“What we are witnessing is the fulfilment of a vision that recognizes the power of technology and innovation as key drivers for economic progress and development.’
“At ipNX, we have always believed that technology is the bridge that connects communities, empowers businesses, and facilitates efficient governance.”
The GMD, assured the people of the state of the commitment of the firm to providing seamless connectivity, “which is essential to unlock the full potential of any economy”.
“Together, we’ll create a digitally empowered environment that ensures citizens, businesses, and government institutions are interconnected like never before,” he asserted.
In a remark before flagging off the project, the governor noted that its goal is to improve governance deliverables by empowering civil servants to do their jobs in a result oriented way.
Otti, who titled his address “The Digital Transformation Journey Begins”, said the project is the first phase of a carefully coordinated programme of digital infrastructure layer and integration.
“It ‘ll involve the acquisition and distribution of thousands of high performance digital tools and devices across ministries, departments and agencies of government,” the governor added.
