Residents of Adamawa and Kebbi states have expressed delight over projects recently commissioned by President Bola Tinubu in the two states.

President Tinubu was in Yola on February 16 and residents turned out in large numbers to welcome the president.

He first commissioned a model basic education school in Yola which represented 21 such newly built model schools across the state.

From there, the president moved to the nearby Bank Road project described as the first eight-lane road and underpass in the North.

After commissioning the Bank Road and underpass, Tinubu and his entourage moved to the newly expanded High Court complex described as a fitting tribute to the state judiciary.

He then moved about a kilometre to the Government House where there is a newly built automated main gate as well as newly constructed Governor’s Office which the governor recently moved into.

He also performed the groundbreaking of a new NYSC permanent orientation camp being built by the state government in Malkohi, Yola South at the cost of N7.5 billion.

Many members of the public agree with the state government that the projects were vital.

A resident who identified himself as Tanimu Dauda said the model school idea was a great one.

Gabriel Tawe praised the new Bank Road  underpass while another resident, Yusuf Aminu, said Yola now has a befitting Government House.

Some however questioned concentrating the projects in the capital, especially around Jimeta, when other parts of the state are crying for attention.

One Muhammed Aliyu said, “The roads and things are not found in Mubi, especially Mubi South and Gella Road and the rest. We also need good things in Mubi.”

Residents said the projects have direct positive impact on their lives and thanked the president and the state government for the efforts, while urging them to do more, especially I the rural areas.

A driver,  Malam Arzika Ribah, expressed happiness for the modernisation of the Central Motor Park in the state capital, Birnin Kebbi.

He commended Governor Nasir Idris for the project which described as the best in the Northwest.

The Sarkin Tasha, Malam Muhammadu, commended Governor Nasir Idris for rehabilitation and furnishing of the motor park.
