In a statement issued by the state publicity secretary of the party, Alex Kalejaye, further commended the roles of the judiciary, the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) and security agencies while the case lasted.

According to Kalejaye, “Chairman of the chapter, Engr. Ade Adetimehin congratulates the Governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, his deputy, His Excellency, Dr Olade Adelamin, Mni, party chieftains, and the good people of the Sunshine State on the victory.

“The Supreme Court on Wednesday threw out the cases filed by three political parties that objected to the APC’s victory at the polls. The three parties were led by the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Agboola Ajayi Alfred, who withdrew his case to the apex court. The other two are the Social Democratic Party and the Allied People’s Movement.”

APC, however, urged the three political parties to put the defeat behind them and support the governor Aiyedatiwa-led government’s efforts to reconstruct various sectors and boost the economy.
