In a statement issued by his director of Press and Public Affairs Dr Gyang Bere to mark Yilwatda’s one-year in office as APC chairman, the governor commended Yilwatda for providing purposeful direction and fostering unity within the party, leading to major electoral successes, including recent by-election victories.

He said Plateau State had continued to benefit from the federal government’s developmental interventions through strategic collaboration and expressed optimism that this partnership would be further strengthened for the advancement of the state, the APC, and the nation.
Governor Mutfwang also lauded Yilwatda’s immense contributions to national development through his intellectual depth, policy engagements and commitment to democratic governance.
On behalf of his family, the government, and people of the state, Mutfwang congratulated Yilwatda on the milestone and prayed that Almighty God grants him “good health, divine wisdom, renewed strength and greater accomplishments as he leads the All Progressives Congress to greater heights.”
