EARLY CHILDHOOD: From a very young age Olusegun Kayode AjijolaAtanda Ashamu exhibited sterling character traits which became pronounced as he grew into young adulthood.
At a very tender age, in view of the high premium his father placed on formal education for all his children, young Ajijola was sent off to a prestigious boarding primary school- Children’s Home School, Ibadan, where his older sisters were already schooling.
After a short stint in the school and because of his obvious maturity and perceived leadership qualities, he was taken to another prestigious boarding primary school – Children’s Boarding School, Oshogbo, where he was given the responsibility of looking after his younger brother and sister, who were new to primary school life away from home.

He passed out of Olivet with flying coloursand immediately gained admission by Prelim entry, having completed his secondary education in 4 1/2 years, courtesy of the newly introduced School Year and therefrom, gained admission three months after his school certificate examination. (a rare feat in those days) to study ESTATE MANAGEMENT, a 5-year Course at the highly prestigious UNIVERSITY OF IFE (now known as OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY).
He graduated with a 2nd Class Upper Division (2.1).
A few years later, he attended the University of Ibadan for his MBA and recently at 69, he bagged his PhD from Lead City University, Ibadan. A sure sign of a resilient, deliberate and focus oriented gentleman.

He was Chief Executive Officer to two major companies in the Group and moved on to the position of Group Executive Director, Corporate Affairs.
He established his own company offering services which include Building Construction, Mechanical & Electrical Installation and Maintenance.
THE MMA2 PROJECT :
One of the highest points of his career was the Chairmanship of the Project Implementation Committee that supervised the construction and development of the peerless Murtala Mohammed Airport Domestic Terminal ( christened MMA2 ) in 2006 by the BI-COURTNEY GROUP with Dr Wale Babalakin , OFR SAN , as the Executive Chairman.

OLIVET HEIGHTS:
Perhaps one can conveniently declare that the name of the school, OLIVET is strongly etched in Olusegun’s DNA. He has carried the banner of Olivet proudly everywhere he went since leaving school. There is no wonder then that he, alongside like-minded ex-Olivetians put heads together to lift the Old Students’ Association (NOSA), from the doldrum it was by injecting life into it. This was done by first setting aside a period in 1995 to formally recognize, honour and organize a grand reception in honour of our revered Principal of the school between 1962 to 1972 , Late Revd and Mrs J. B. P. LAFINHAN. A more concerted effort was made thereafter to continue to nurture the Association to the level it is today.
Olusegun was the National President of his school Association for 5 and a half years. His zeal for the progress of the school and NOSA is unquenchable.
