Chippa United head coach Luc Eymael has stated that there are internal issues surrounding Stanley Nwabali’s absence from the side’s clash with Polokwane City on Sunday.

Nwabali was omitted from the matchday squad for the Chili Boys’ 2-1 defeat against Polokwane City. Eymael, who declined to disclose the specifics of the issues, mentioned that they would be resolved internally.

“We have some internal matters to address, which is why one important player [Nwabali] was absent today,” Eymael was quoted as saying by Idiski Times. “It’s a problem we need to solve.

Nonetheless, the goalkeeper [Sithole] performed well, and I want to commend him for that. I also wish to recognise the hard work of both goalkeepers and our goalkeeping coach. I’m confident we will bounce back. I prefer not to discuss the situation publicly; it’s essential we resolve it internally. It’s unfortunate, but such things can occur in football.

However, it provides an opportunity for others to step up. It’s vital that everyone is committed to Chippa United and moves in the same direction; that is the only way to elevate this team, and I believe we are capable of doing so.”
