A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Hon Dekeri Anamero, has commenced the enrollment of 10,000 indigent students in Edo State for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
He spoke when the application forms were handed over to the various groups and organisations that would reach the beneficiaries at his campaign office in Benin City.
Represented by the chairman of the enrollment committee, Emmanuel Iyase, Anamero said, “I want to appeal to everyone of you that there is a column in the form that is boldly written not for sale; we want to implore you that as you pick this form here today, which has been allocated to various groups, the Christian association, the Muslims, market women, the physically challenged, IDPs (Internally Displaced Persons), political wards and others, take them to your various locations, don’t sell and allow them to get to the people for who they are meant for because it is not easy for an individual to be enrolling 10,000 candidates.
“We are also praying that God should increase the purse of the donor in 100 fold, we are the messengers and we should take the message rightly to ensure that the purpose for which the project was conceived was met in all areas,” he said.
