Gov Mohammed Urges Vigilance, Community Support For Security Agents

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala A. Mohammed, has called on citizens to remain vigilant and to support security agencies with timely, credible information to safeguard lives and property.

The Governor made the call during the 2026 Durbar celebration held in Dass Local Government Area, where he was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Aminu Hammayo.

He expressed gratitude to God for the successful completion of Ramadan and commended the people of Dass for their peaceful coexistence and unity.

Also speaking, Senator Shehu Buba Umar, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, praised the people of Dass for maintaining peace and harmony in the area.

In his remarks, the Emir of Dass, Usman Bilyaminu Othman, said the Durbar festival is aimed at preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Dass people and strengthening communal ties.

He also commended Governor Bala Mohammed for executing key developmental projects across the state, including roads, hospitals, and schools.

Earlier, the Chairman of Dass Local Government Council, Mohammed Abubakar Jibo, appreciated the governor’s efforts and appealed for additional road construction projects to further boost development in the area.
