The youths made the demand this during their peaceful protest against alleged bad governance and hunger in the country.

One of the protesters stated that the protest was proposed to bring solutions to issues bedeviling the nation. “We are calling for the federal government to bring back fuel subsidy, bring down inflation and tackle insecurity in the nation.”

He highlighted a challenging period for citizens who find it difficult to afford necessities, including food, medication, and essentials commodities which was caused by hyperinflation resulting from the removal of fuel subsidies and depreciation of the naira.

Protesters also added, “We want fuel subsidy back, our people are suffering, hunger, insecurity, inflation of foods and others, we want government to consider our demands.”
