Jiji Cars45 Sign MoU With GAC Motors To Fast-track Vehicle Acquisition

GAC Motors has partnered with leading e-commerce giant Jiji, and online portal Cars45 to enable GAC Motors owners swap their used cars for new ones and the used cars cam resold to new buyers at the online platforms.

The partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which was signed at GAC Motors showroom, Victoria Island, Lagos saw the three parties put pen on paper to consumate the deal.

Speaking during the signing of the MoU, chief operating officer, Cars45 and investor relations head at Jiji, Maxim Makarchuk, said the whole idea with the partnership is to bring more value to customers and let them access GAC Motors through the two platforms.

“We believes that there are three key decisions in humans life. You have to decide which person you will marry, where you live and third decision is what car you will drive. So, we are here to make sure that your third decision in life will be as hassle free as possible, as convenient as possible which means you will not stress yourself.

“And we are happy because the first two decisions are not easy. So the third one has to be convenient with us. One of the problem people are faced with is knowing the condition of used vehicles rather than whether it is a Tokunbo or Nigerian used vehicle, he said.

Speaking further, he said at Cars45, the platform allows everyone to see the detailed condition of over 5000 cars in the inventory and they will definitely find something that will fit their needs and to ensure that it can meet all of their users needs,

On the secoard part of the MoU, he said, “We also have new cars that is being supplied by GAC Motors and this is where exceptional products meets with great marketing because we believe that GAC cars are the ones that are good for Africa and by promoting them on our platforms, we believe that we can provide more value to our customers that will get access to great products.

On his part, the general manager, commercial, CIG Motors, owners of GAC Motors, Jibril Arogundade said the partnership will give birth to a new opportunities for the automobile industry and more people will have confidence with GAC Motors.

He said, Cars45 and Jiji are two of the strong e-commerce platforms in Nigeria with well over 15 million users every month. “We at GAC Motors are known for quality and durability. We believe that we are at the era where we need to make people aware of the brands of GAC Motors.

“We have physical stores in Lagos and Abuja and we know it is not possible for all the users of GAC Motors to go to the showrooms but they can as well go to this Jiji and Cars45 platforms and see the brand of vehicles.”

Arogundade also pointed out that in the partnership, “the company has launched a new project called the swap, which gives opportunity to the old users of GAC cars to bring their old vehicles and swap them for a new one and when you do that, you are going to have all the inventories of those used cars , so Cars45 automatically becomes the platform for the sales of those old used cars , and that is the strategy.”

Also speaking, Yuliy Shenfeld, Head of Africa, Jiji said Jiji is the largest online marketing place in Nigeria especially for the cars category by delivering affordable cars to households to Nigeria for over eight years.

He said the agreement is a win-win for Nigerians to become GAC Motors owners. On Jiji platform, people can access the platform and buy new GAC cars and on the Cars45 platform, people can bring in used GAC cars and resell

accordingly. We are extremely excited because this is something new in the industry and we intend to do more of this, he concluded.
