JUST IN: Section Of Mandilas Market In Lagos On Fire

A fire outbreak has been reported at the popular Mandilas storey building on Broad Street in the Lagos Island Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The building, a 10 storey structure, houses a warehouse.

According to the Director of Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, the fire originated on the first floor and has now reached the fourth floor.

Adeseye disclosed that the cause of the inferno is yet to be identified, adding that there is an ongoing firefighting operation at the scene.

Adeseye further revealed that emergency responders from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations are currently at the scene, working to curtail the inferno from escalating.
