Kebbi Governor Signs 13 Bills Into Law

Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, has signed 13 bills into law which were passed by the state House of Assembly.

While submitting the bills for assent at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, the speaker, Hon. Muhammed Usman Zuru said the bills were submitted by the executive arm of the government to the legislature for amendments and ratification, adding that the House submitted them to the governor for assent.

Zuru said the bills would meet the expectation of the people of the state when implemented.

He commended the governor for signing bills, which he believes would meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people.

Governor Nasir Idris after signing the bills into law assured the assembly members of his readiness to transform the state into a modern city by submitting bills that will be in conformity with the aspirations of people in the state.

He commended the Assembly for the harmonious working relationship with the executive since the inception of his administration.

The bills include Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Kebbi State Senior Citizens’ Centre, Kebbi State Teaching Hospital, Kebbi State Polytechnic and Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, Aliero among others.
