Controversial Nigerian street singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has linked the death of singer and rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad, to enemies of Malian Records founder, Naira Marley, in order to implicate the latter.
Portable alleged that Mohbad was killed for betraying the Marlian Records boss, who groomed him.
In a post on his Instagram page, Portable said Mohbad was nurtured and supported by Marlian Records but turned his back on the group.
He said that Mohbad accused the music label of not showing love, which led to his departure and affiliation with Naira Marley’s rivals, who turned around to kill him to implicate his former boss.
According to Portable, Mohbad’s association with the rivals ultimately led to his untimely death. He claimed that those who killed Mohbad intended to implicate Naira Marley.
Portable wrote: “Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them blow but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian Music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.
“Those ones then killed him to implicate Naira. God will save Naira from this mess because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart, but he betrayed him.”
