The boy allegedly sustained injuries from a stray bullet from some operatives of the NDLEA on July 13, 2023 when broken glasses entered his eyes after his brother, Ivan Omhonria, was shot dead.

Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd), disclosed in Asaba when his delegation visited Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

He said he was in Delta to condole with the family on the death of the two-year-old lvan who accidentally lost his life during an operation in Asaba and to also speak with stakeholders playing important roles in the fight against drug trafficking in the country.

Marwa said winning the war against drug trafficking was imperative because of its negative impact in the society, if left to fester.
