In his inaugural address, Mr. Nnam expressed gratitude for the warm reception and acknowledged his longstanding familiarity with several staff members. He described the Ministry as a critical engine in disseminating government policies and programs.

“I have known some of the wonderful people here for a long time, and I am confident that our working relationship will remain positive and productive,” he said. “The Ministry plays a crucial role in national development, and we must work collectively to deliver on our shared mandate.”Nnam underscored the importance of accelerating internal reforms in line with the Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan 2025 (FCSSIP25).

He noted that the Ministry has yet to go live on the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform, urging immediate action to align with the civil service’s broader digital transformation.

“We must rise to the occasion. The Ministry cannot afford to lag while others advance with reforms,” he stated. “Let us commit to working harder and smarter to meet our objectives.”

Delivering the handover address, Mr. Ibidapo Okunnu, Director of Production, Publication, and Documentation, who previously supervised the Permanent Secretary’s office, highlighted ongoing initiatives within the Ministry, including the Ministerial Press Briefing Series.

The series, led by the Honourable Minister, is part of activities marking the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and aims to showcase government achievements and deepen public engagement.

Okunnu also revealed that preparations are underway for the May 29 anniversary celebrations. He said the National Communications Team, chaired by the Honourable Minister, has been meeting regularly to ensure coordinated and impactful national outreach.

The Ministry’s Directors and staff attended the event, who welcomed the new Permanent Secretary and pledged their full support for realising the Ministry’s strategic goals.
