The governor of Edo State, Monday Okpebholo, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to good governance and the well-being of the Edo people as he preaches peace, love, and unity among the citizens.
Okpebholo, while felicitating with Edo people in his Easter Sunday message, made available to newsmen by his chief press secretary, Fred Ituah, called for cooperation among the citizens to build Edo of ‘our dreams.’
Similarly, the senator representing Edo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Neda Imasuen, has expressed his continued determination and commitment to serving the people of his constituency.
Imansuen in his Easter message to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ also felicitated with the people of the state while urging them to imbibe the lesson of the season.
Okpebholo stated, “This Easter, let us rededicate ourselves to the ideals of peace, harmony, and mutual respect. Let us strengthen the bonds that unite us and work together to build the Edo State of our dreams – a State where opportunity thrives, and every citizen can reach their full potential.”
“As we celebrate this sacred season, let us be reminded of the enduring lessons of Easter: the importance of compassion, forgiveness, and the unwavering belief in a brighter future,” Governor Okpebholo stated.
“Just as Easter signifies a new beginning, so too do we, as a State, continue to strive for progress, development, and a more prosperous future for all our citizens.”
He further encouraged all Edo residents to use this festive period to spend quality time with family and loved ones, extend a hand of kindness to those in need, and reflect on their blessings.
Senator Imansuen, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges, recently held a town hall meeting in the seven local government areas that make up the Edo South Senatorial district. He also reaffirmed his promise to continue to deliver the dividends of democracy.
Part of the statement reads, “I wish to extend my warmest felicitations to the good people of Edo South Senatorial district in particular and Edo state in general, even as we celebrate this momentous occasion of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection are testaments to the resilience, determination, and unity of our great senatorial district.
“In the last week, I went around the seven local government areas in a town hall meeting setting to meet my constituents. These visits accorded me the opportunity to interact with my constituents and to hear from them on their needs and expectations. It also accorded me the opportunity to share with them of my representation so far in the past two years.
“As your representative in the Nigerian Senate, I am proud of the progress we have made together. We have worked tirelessly to address the needs of our constituents, and I am committed to continuing our efforts to improve the lives of our people.
“I urge all members of our constituent to continue to work together towards a brighter future for ourselves and future generations. Let us harness our collective energies and resources to drive development, promote peace, and foster prosperity.
“I appreciate the trust and support you have given me, and I reaffirm my commitment to serving our constituent with diligence and integrity. As we celebrate, l want us to hold on to the message that comes with it and see Jesus as the reason for the season.”
