Receiving the delegation at his palace, His Royal Highness Alh. Godfrey Y.Momodu (JP) Ugbodaga spoke extensively about the existence of Anegbette clan to his guests on how he has been overseeing the affairs of his people for the past 41 years till date.

“Let me tell you that Anegbette clan is a peaceful and safe place where you can live and go about doing your business. Our people back in the days are blacksmiths and goldsmiths which were very viable in terms of commercial value, due to the fact that Anegbette had a ship bath in which the British came to buy the finished products of our blacksmiths such as irons, swords, bows and arrows used for slave trading. We are also blessed with plenty land we use for agriculture”.

Speaking about the visit and how the ongoing Beach soccer tournament has brought life to his people and it’s environs, the Otsosu Onaguma could not hide his joy as he was full of praise to Chief Francis Awoefe. “I want to sincerely appreciate our son, Chief Francis Osigbemhe Awoefe the Eche of Orogun Kingdom for his massive contributions to our people, he is a blessing to everyone. I had to call him to make sure that the Beach Soccer Tournament holds this year because it is an event that our people take with pride and use as a festival during this festive season, I can but only pray that God will continue to bless him for Us”.
