Victor Osimhen has heaped praise on his Galatasaray teammates after the club secured their fourth consecutive Turkish Süper Lig crown with a hard-fought 4-2 victory over Antalyaspor on Saturday night.

The Nigerian striker, who bagged a decisive second-half brace, admitted that the visitors made life difficult for the league leaders before the home side’s quality eventually shone through.

Antalyaspor shocked the Rams Park crowd by taking the lead twice during an end-to-end encounter. Despite Galatasaray’s dominance in possession, the underdogs repeatedly found gaps in the defending champions’ backline.

However, Okan Buruk’s men refused to buckle, responding each time with sheer attacking firepower. Osimhen proved to be the difference-maker after the interval, netting two clinical goals to turn the tide and seal the title in front of an ecstatic home support.

Speaking to Galatasaray’s official website after the final whistle, the Super Eagles star acknowledged the toughness of the opposition while celebrating his team’s resilience. “Antalya made things difficult for us tonight—but we are Galatasaray. We need to overcome these kinds of matches,” Osimhen said. “We go out onto the field to perform well in these kinds of games. We became champions tonight. We are very happy.”

The 25-year-old has been instrumental in Galatasaray’s dominant campaign, now tallying 15 goals and five assists in just 22 league appearances. His electric pace, aerial prowess, and composure in front of goal have made him a fan favorite since arriving in Istanbul. The latest brace not only secured the trophy but also underlined his reputation as one of Europe’s most lethal finishers.

With the title already in hand, Galatasaray will look to finish the season on a high, while Osimhen’s focus will likely shift to maintaining his red-hot form ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming international commitments.

For now, though, the striker and his teammates are basking in the glory of another championship—proof that even when pushed to the limit, champions find a way to prevail.
