Former Commonwealth Secretary-General and distinguished Nigerian diplomat, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, on Tuesday, paid a visit to Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, to inspect the ongoing construction of the University’s Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy named after him.
According to a post on the UNIZIK official Facebook page, Chief Anyaoku was received by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, alongside the Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor (General Duties), Professor AU Nnonyelu, who also serves as Director of the Institute.
During the tour, Anyaoku evaluated the progress of work at the site and held deliberations with university officials on potential dates for the official commissioning of the facility.
