President Muhammadu Buhari is listed as the guest of honour for this year’s edition of Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Lecture and Awards while governor of Plateau State and chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum Simon Lalong will chair the event and his Nasarawa State counterpart Abdullahi Sule will feature as the chief host.
This year’s edition is on Leadership and Good Governance with the theme; “Credible 2023 General Elections as Panacea to the Search for Quality Leadership” which comes up on Saturday, 18th February, 2023 at Aliyu Akwe Doma Hall, Government House Lafia, Nasarawa State by 9am prompt.
The lecture series is held annually where experts, analysts, policy makers and stakeholders converge to discuss topical issues and proffer solutions to them.
In a statement issued by the director-general/CEO of the foundation, Engr Abubakar Gambo Umar, Professor P.L.O. Lumumba, the chairman of P.L.O Lumumba Foundation, Kenya, will be the guest speaker.
He said His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, will be the royal father of the day while His Highness Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage I, will serve as the royal host.
Among the special guests are governors, members of the States and National Assemblies, ministers, royal fathers, religious leaders, elder statesmen, political leaders, heads of MDAs, all stakeholders and opinion leaders.
Prominent personalities who have made immense contributions to the development of the country will also be honoured at the event.
