Retired Soldiers Urge Katsina Gov’t To Enrol Fallen Heroes’ Children In Schools

The Nigerian Legion, Katsina State chapter, has called on the state government to assist in enrolling children of the fallen heroes in schools of higher learning across the state.

The chairman of the legion, Rtd WO2. Ahmed Hussain made the plea while remarking at the 2024 appeal fund ahead of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration (AFRDC) in the state.

He said the state chapter organised the event to honour fallen heroes who laid down their lives in the service of humanity during the First and Second World Wars, including the Nigerian Civil War, and those who died in the internal security operation.

While expressing their gratitude to the Katsina state government for supporting this year’s event, the chairman, acknowledged the roles the state government and the Nigerian Armed Forces are playing in tackling the insecurity menace in the state and Northern part of the country at large..
