Afrobeats star, Tekno, has addressed swirling rumours about his health after a video reportedly showing him collapsing while performing on stage in South Africa went viral on social media.

Tekno, whose real name is Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, took to Instagram to clarify the situation.
The rumour spread after a viral video surfaced, showing an artist experiencing what appeared to be a seizure during a live performance in South Africa.

In the clip, several men were seen assisting the collapsed singer, leading fans to speculate that the individual was Tekno.

However, the singer took to his Instagram page on recently to clarify the situation. He assured fans that he is in good health and not present in South Africa.
In his post, Tekno reassured fans with photos on beach walkway: “Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa. I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and ok. Thank you guys. Love you.”
The rumour was further challenged by fellow Afrobeats artiste Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr. Eazi.
Supporting his co- artist on X, Mr. Eazi humorously countered the rumours, saying: “Lmao Tekno wey dey Malabo,” referencing that Tekno is actually in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, and not South Africa as reported.
