“This figure is far above the ninety-two billion, six hundred and seventy-one million, six hundred and three thousand, four hundred and eighteen naira, four kobo (N92,671,603,418.04) only generated in the corresponding month of May, 2024.

The statement added that the revenue figure for April 2025 stood at N145 billion and is also a significant increase over the figure of N95.5 billion collected in the corresponding period of April 2024.

Controller of the Command, Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka, maintained that he aims to generate revenue seamlessly adding that he encourages trade facilitation, but that the trade has to be legitimate and not harmful to the economy.

Comptroller Onyeka has, since the resumption of duty at the Command, keyed into the policies of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Adewale Adeniyi, and his records of performance at the Command so far have revealed a general increase in month-on-month performance in the area of revenue generation.
