The managing director described the alarming situation as a very serious problem and said it poses a lot of security challenges stressing that “ it creates security, social and economic convulsion”.

He, therefore charged the various communities in the company’s franchise areas to organise vigilante groups which he assured would be greatly supported by the company.

In his words, “This is a very serious problem. It is deepening into our resources. It is a thorn in our flesh. Every day, there are cases of vandalism on our network. We will support the vigilantes to help us in curbing the menace.

In their respective remarks, the spokesman of the Kwang community, Mr Goeuam Anthony and that of Mangu Hali, Hon Yusuf Dashang thanked the managing director for a purposeful leadership and said the power supply in Plateau State had considerably improved since coming on board.

The groups which urged him not to be deterred in his quest to navigate the company to a greater height also prayed for him to succeed.
