The chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has revealed the identity of a woman in Canada who allegedly threatened to kill Nigerians living in the country.

The woman, identified as Amaka Patience Sunnberger, reportedly made the threats during a TikTok live session using the username Anyi_Anambra7 and account handle @ehizele123.

Nigerian

In the video, which has since gone viral, Amaka is heard speaking predominantly in Pidgin English to a virtual audience of slightly over a hundred people.

In the video, the woman said, “Record me, it’s time to start poisoning the meals of the Yorubas and Benin people, poison their food and drinks at work so they can begin to die one by one. You won’t all die at once, you’ll get sick first. I will put pesticides in your water and food. It will not be well with you. The hate in your hearts will last forever.”

She went on to make further threats, stating, “If I go to work tomorrow, I will put it (rat poison) in the Yoruba people’s food. Go and tell the government, I am in Ontario, Canada. Hurry. Soon, you will hear that the Yorubas and Benin people have died. I said it. I want Igbo people to be wicked, you are too soft-hearted. Enough is enough. If you have a means of killing them, kill them because they are of no use to the society.”

The disturbing nature of the video has sparked outrage, with many viewers expressing concern. An X user who shared the video described it as “disturbing.”

In response to the video, Dabiri-Erewa confirmed that a group of Nigerians in Canada is taking action by reporting the woman to the relevant authorities.

The NIDCOM boss posted on social media, “This is the picture of the lady behind the voice. Amaka Patience Sunnberger. She has deleted her TikTok account and a group of Nigerians in Canada are reporting her officially to the relevant authorities in Canada. Thanks for alerting everyone.”
