The team, currently camping at the Remo Sports Institute in Ikenne, Ogun State, will go to the tournament with 25 players; while 20 players are on the main list, five others are on the standby.

The coach Aliyu Zubairu led team will leave Nigeria next Wednesday, three days to their opener.

The Flying Eagles, defending champions of the tournament, will begin their title defense with a Group B match against Burkina Faso on Friday, October 18, at the Stade Municipal in Lome. The Nigerian team will then face Cote d’Ivoire in their second group game on October 24.

Group A includes host nation Togo, Benin Republic, and Niger Republic, with the competition kicking off on October 17 when Togo takes on Benin.
