Former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and proprietor of FOSLA Academy, Karshi, Alhaj Sani Lulu Abdullahi has applauded the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) and Ibrahim Gusau-led NFF for their commitment and assurances towards the realisation of the Academy plans participation in the forthcoming World School Football Championship (WSFC) scheduled to hold in Rabat Morocco from July 22 to 31, 2023.
The retired FCT’s director of sports development made the remark when he led a delegation of FOSLA Academy on a courtesy visit to the FCTA permanent, Mr Olusade Adesola, saying he is grateful to the FCTA for identifying the Academy’s planned participation at the Championship as a Nigerian project.
He also expressed his excitement about the position of NFF towards the project.
Responding, FCT Permanent Secretary Olusade Adesola hailed the tremendous role of Sani Lulu Abdullahi to football development at the grassroots level having served at the highest level of football administration as president of Nigeria Football Federation.
He said he is proud of FOSLA Academy for achieving a lot in Academics and Sports especially with their latest victory as champions of the revived Nigeria’s Principal Cup which qualified the Academy to represent Nigeria at the World School Football Championship.
He assured the FOSLA Academy delegation of the support of the FCTA and also called on private, public and philanthropic sports loving individuals to extend their gesture to FOSLA Academy so as to enable the Academy to fly Nigeria’s flag high at the World School Football Championship.
Lulu was accompanied on the courtesy visit to permanent secretary by the Management Team of the FCTA. The FOSLA Academy delegation also had a number of their principal officers, coaches and players who will be representing Nigeria at the World School Football Championship.
