The outreach in its fifth edition took place on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

Speaking during the outreach, Tom-G Fitness Patron, Dr Joseph Odeh expressed gratitude over support and donations from Tom-G crew in making the idea a success.

According to him, “Today we decided to come to this environment to give back to this community. So you can see a lot has been dished out today, from edible food, food stuffs, sanitary pads, soaps and all that. This environment is populated by less privilege people as you can see the high demand for these items. So we are grateful to the entire Tom G crew and all those that supported through their contributions and donations.

“This is the fifth edition of this annual event, and we hope to do even more in the coming year in another part of the society,” he added.

About the organization, Odeh said the objective of the Club is to rehabilitate youths through sports and other activities to get them out of vices. “We are very much involved in organizing basic sporting competitions like football, fitness and all that to ensure that people get involved in their passion and get away from different distractions.”

On his part, President of Tom-G Fitness, Kingdom Tamunotonye Tom-George expressed joy in reaching out to the community. He said, “You can see that people are finding it difficult to eat and cater for their family. Looking at it from a human angle, think about a brother or sister not being able to cater for himself or herself, definitely you will not be happy. So I’m happy my team and I are able to organize this outreach in this community. I want to appreciate those who contributed and supported this initiative. We have been able to cater for over 300 people here today, we hope to do more to support people and touch more lives.”

One of the beneficiaries, Dorcas Ishaku thanked Tom-G team for the show of love. She said, “We appreciate you all for giving to us these items. This is my first time of receiving from an organization like this. I was given food, some other items and sanitary pad. May God bless you people to do more for us because things are tough for many of us here. I really appreciate.”
