Two trailers have crashed into eight pedestrians while trying to cross the road at Mobil Junction, Madalla area of Kaduna-Abuja Highway.  They crushed a woman and injured four others.

It was learnt yesterday that the survivors sustained high degrees of injury and were taken to the General Hospital, Suleja for treatment while the woman died on the way to the hospital.

An eyewitness said among those injured were three children trying to cross the road from the Zuma Rock axis to attend a church service on the other side of the highway.

While confirming the incident to LEADERSHIP, the sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) Kumar Tsukwam said the accident was caused by over-speeding and loss of control.
