The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) announced the final and official fare for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage, revealing a paltry decrease of 9.7 percent from the 2025 fare.
Intending pilgrims from Borno, Yobe, Taraba, and Adamawa states will pay N8,118,383.50 for the 2026 Hajj, down from N8,327,125.59 for this year’s pilgrimage.
Pilgrims from other Northern states will pay N8,244,813.67, compared to N8,457,685.59 charged for the 2025 Hajj, while intending pilgrims from the Southern states will pay N8,561,013.67, a reduction from the N8,784,085.59 they paid in 2025.
NAHCON Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Sale Usman, announced that through a statement Friday night.
He said the rates followed extensive consultations with relevant stakeholders, including the Forum of States leadership with the approval of the Federal Government.
“Maiduguri Yola Zone (Yobe, Borno, Adamawa, and Taraba) will pay: N8,118,333.67, other Northern States will pay: N8,244,813.67; Southern States will pay: N8,561,013.67.
“Compared to what was charged last year, this year each pilgrim will pay, on average, two hundred thousand naira less,” the statement said.
He revealed further that the NAHCON delegation currently in Saudi Arabia has signed agreements with the 2026 Hajj Service Provider Company – Mashareeq Al-Zahabiyya, and the Transportation Company – Daleel Al-Ma’aleem.
Professor Abdullahi urged all intending pilgrims to complete their payments by 31 December, 2025.
