Governor Dauda Faces First Crisis As Bandits kill 25 In Zamfara

Bandits yesterday launched a fresh attack on farmers at Jambako, Sakida and Saulawa village in Zamfara State, and allegedly killed 25 persons.

An eye witness said they  attacked the villagers while they were preparing their farms.

One Muhammadu Sani said 18 persons  from Jambako were killed while Sakida recorded five and Saulawa had two casualties.

According to him, the bandits first attacked Sakidda people at their farms, and some members of the vigilante group from Jambako rushed to engage them and as a result lost18 persons.

Police spokesman ASP Yazid Abubakar declined comment but promised to respond later.
