Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly (NASS), an All Progressives Congress Support Group, Bola Campaign Organisation (BCO) at the weekend, appealed to the lawmakers-elect for the Senate and House of Representatives to allow the principle of party supremacy reign supreme with respect to the zoning arrangement in the party for the leadership of the chambers.

BCO in a statement issued and jointly signed by its national patron, Abdulwahab Korede Quadri (FCIB), the national coordinator,  Mohammed Makinta and national women leader, Alhaja Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, said the development will help in promoting party discipline as well as upholding party supremacy.

The group said the choice of Akpabio for Senate president and Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as speaker would further ensure the nation’s stability.

The group however appealed to members of the APC, who are aggrieved over the zoning and endorsements of candidates for the Senate and House of Representatives leadership to sheath their swords in the overall interest of the country.

“As all is set for the Inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, we are passionately appealing to elected lawmakers of the Senate and House of Representatives to align their interest with that of the party”.
