Founded in 2016, its mission is to establish itself as the preeminent educational institution globally, producing graduates who are equipped with behavioural modification that fosters peaceful coexistence. “Driven by my devotion to God, I aspire for my children to mature into individuals who embody tranquillity and demonstrate respect and affection towards others – ultimately contributing to the creation of a society comprised of law-abiding and tolerant citizens,” she said

Lucrativity

“Well, to be honest, I was not driven by how lucrative the business is. I was more aware of the impact I was going to make in the lives of our learners. However, generally speaking, a business is lucrative based on how finances are managed and how business processes are strategically positioned. Every business is potentially lucrative. Unleashing this potential now depends on how the business is managed. Most especially book record keeping,” she stressed.

Challenges

“Lack of qualified employees: we have issues getting qualified and dedicated employees. It is a challenge to get employees to see your business values from your perspective and for them to embrace the business models.

“The second challenge is the high cost of operation due to erratic electricity supply from the national grid, which requires standby generators that run on expensive petrol and diesel. To mitigate this challenge, businesses can be transparent in dealings with customers and make necessary price adjustments when needed.

The third challenge is the limited options for financial support for start-ups. Businesses can overcome this by expanding their business lines into related areas to generate more funds,” she pointed out.

Advice

To him, “I would say there is no better time to start whatever you are thinking than now. However, you are better equipped with practical business skills if you have worked for other businesses before starting up your own. Start a business on what you are passionate about, use and keep a network of positive people, do not be afraid to hire people better than yourself and hire more of those who have qualities that you do not have so that your system can be balanced. Also, have a good understanding of every bit of your business processes and be available.”
