Stakeholders in the entertainment industry have urged the reinforcement and networking systems in the entertainment industry for improved success.

The stakeholders spoke at the Creating A New Dialogue panel held at the Entertainment Weekly Lagos platform.
Speaking on the panel, Multichoice Nigeria, Head of Content & Channels, West Africa, Dr Busola Tejumola noted for decades Nigerian producers and writers, have been telling original and authentic stories. Despite, the retrogression and impression of storytelling amidst myriad challenges, the sector’s success is a testament of the practitioners’ aggressive pursuit for and marketing of contents and services.

However, writer and producer best known for her work Living In Bondage, Nicole Asinugo said to move to the next level, diversity and inclusivity must be acknowledged and promoted in the sector. Marketing and Production expert, Susan Younis stressed that the present distribution channel and networks must be updated and broadened, citing the globally acclaimed K-Pop/K-Drama success despite being a non-English speaking entity.

Similarly, the panel’s moderator, F.K Abudu challenged industry stakeholders to continuously engage the federal government with the purpose of persuading agencies to remove bottlenecks to the development of the industry.
