Bauchi Governor Signs 6 Executive Bills Into Law

Governor Bala Muhammad of Bauchi State has passed six executive bills passed into law by the State House of Assembly for good, efficient and effective governance of the state.

The bills are a bill to Rename the state-owned university to Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau; a bill to repeal Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency 2012 to Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Board; a bill to provide for the establishment of Bauchi State Farmers/Herders Board; a bill to provide for the establishment of Bauchi State Rural Access Road Authority (RARA) 2024 as well as a bill to Promote Children Access to Education in Bauchi State.

While signing the bills, Governor Mohammed commended the State House of Assembly for studying the details of the bills carefully and thoroughly before passing them for assent, pointing out that this showed the cordial relationship between the legislature and the executive arm of government.

He called for continuous partnership between the arms of government for the rapid socio-economic development of the state and its people, saying that his administration will continue to work with members of the Assembly for the betterment of the people.

Mohammed also said that all the laws are relevant to societal growth and development saying that if properly implemented, it would bring about peace and stability, improved educational growth and rural development across the state.

He lauded legislators for their continuous support to his administration and pledged to continue to support them also for sustainable growth and development of good governance.

Earlier, the speaker of the House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar Suleiman said that all the laws, if properly implemented, would have direct bearing on the lives of the people.

He called on the people to continue to support the present administration, adding that the infrastructure and other development recorded in the state were the product of cordial relationship and mutual cooperation between the legislature and the executive arm of government.

 

Sulaiman said that the bills are Executive Bills sent to the assembly and were carefully scrutinized in line with the development trends of the governor.
