The silence After

The silence seems deafening even after a response by the President was made to the nationwide protests that took over the country. Of course after wards, the protests did not abate as citizens found it unsatisfactory and argued that among all of what was mentioned, their requests were not met. I do not know what to say except that I had also hoped for more from the speech.

Something like, ‘Fuel subsidy will be returned’ or ‘We will cushion the effect of high cost of transport on both air and land’ or ‘We are going to regulate food and medicine prices’, I mean something the people can hold on to and stop the protest.
