A man has sustained serious injuries after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in South Yorkshire, England.
Sky News reported on Saturday that emergency services were called to the wildlife park near Doncaster following the incident.
South Yorkshire Police said they received reports of a man entering the tiger enclosure on Saturday afternoon.
“The tiger has subsequently attacked the man and this has resulted in serious injury,” the police said, adding that officers were working to contact his family.
The force said the tiger remained inside the enclosure and posed “no wider risk to the public”.
The park was evacuated following the incident as police remained at the scene to investigate.
In a statement, Yorkshire Wildlife Park said its emergency response procedures were immediately activated and emergency services were attending the scene.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service said it was called to the scene at about 1:30 pm on Saturday.
A spokesperson said several emergency resources were deployed, including two land ambulances, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a doctor.
The park was subsequently closed for the remainder of the weekend.
